“Pokaz Trio “– an exceptional music band from a free city Odessa.
Ukrainian pearl Odessa is a free city. Why free? Odessa is not like the other cities. In fact, it is very different. Thus, jazz sounds here - a lot different - inspired by freedom. Apparently, for the same reason, it's quite difficult to accurately describe the style of the music played by the Odessan band Pokaz Trio. They call it themselves "futuristic jazz", triggering and exciting the imagination of the audience and the musicians alike,” says Inga Grubliauskienė, the president of Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival.
“Pokaz Trio” which was founded in 2016, brought together well known Ukrainian musicians -charismatic pianist and composer Andrey Pokaz, contrabassist Vitaliy Fesenko, and drummer Yakov Taruntsov. Though each of the musicians has a unique performing style and specific musical needs, all together they are a trio of great harmony and exceptional unity.
Today, “Pokaz Trio” performs at the most famous jazz festivals in Ukraine, and also delivers extremely successful and spectator over- packed concerts in the most famous concert halls of Kiev, Odessa and other Ukrainian cities. In the beginning of 2018, the musician trio from Odessa also released their debut album "Kintsugi", which received great reviews from music critics and fans.
